Waterview (the new tall buildings southeast of the intersection of Lynn and Lee Hwy.) recently requested that the County Board allow them to add signage beyond their original allowance. I went to the County Board meeting on Monday (10/22) and spoke as an individual indicating that signage on the tall buildings in Rosslyn was getting out of hand, and that we were seeing a race among developers to install the largest and brightest illuminated area on their buildings. Jay Fisette and Walt Tejada voted against the signage --- but the motion to approve carried 3:2. Ken Robinson of RAFOM also spoke against the signage. Jennifer Zeien of NRCA, though not present at the County Board meeting, shares my opinion on this. Lucia de Cordre, for Rosslyn Renaissance, spoke in favor of approving the signage request. | |||
