I read with interest the information about the sky walk reopening Monday 05 June, and the fact that Arlington County would do nothing in the way of making walkways at Gold's Gym and other places to get to the Metro while it was under renovation. The walk to the Metro was very dangerous coming from the Atrium where I live. My question now is why has there NEVER been a sign or crosswalk designation at the Rosslyn Metro on Moore Street? There should at least be a sign reading "stop for pedestrians". Cars speed terribly through that crosswalk.

I sent a message to County Board members Walt Tejada and Paul Ferguson concerning pedestrian safety around the Metro. Here's today's (6/5) response from Paul Ferguson: Dear Mr. Antell: Thank you for bringing the pedestrian safety issue near the Rosslyn Metro Station to my attention. I have asked the County Manager to investigate your concerns and get back to me. Pedestrian safety should never be compromised. I will be back in touch in a couple of weeks. Sincerely, Paul Ferguson Vice Chairman
