The Arlington Public School (APS) Board presented a status report at last night’s Arlington County Civic Federation meeting. I found it a worthwhile briefing.

During the question period, I asked about the remaining trailers parked on the Wilson School playfield. Abbie Raphael answered for the board that removal of the final row of trailers had been delayed due to legal issues with the vendor, but that the Board was pushing staff to resolve those issues. In later conversation Abbie told me that “we’re with you on this.” That sounds like a pretty good message.

The format of the meeting allowed only for the most simple of questions. I did not ask about long term plans for Wilson ... obviously a matter of great concern to our neighborhood.
