We will be holding our first general membership meeting on February 2, 2003, at 7:00 p.m., in the Atrium community room. Please note that this is a change from the previously posted date, which would have conflicted with the Super Bowl. Here are the details from the Calendar: North Rosslyn will conduct its first post-formation general membership meeting on February 2, 2003, at 7:00 p.m., in the community room at the Atrium condominium building. Our featured speakers will be Jim Pebbley, Immedate Past President of the Arlington Civic Federation and Mr. Bill Robbins of Arlington County Vector and Rodent Control. Mr. Pebbley will discuss the civic association process, explaining how our neighborhood can most effectively participate in the county's civic and political system as an association and a member of the federation. Afterwards, we will have a general discussion of the goals and priorities of the association, based on issues which members raise at the meeting. We will also have updates on recent activities of the association. Mr. Robbins will bring us up to date on the efforts being made to contain and eleminate the Norway Rat invasion in the neighborhood and provide information on how we can each do our part to eleminiate these pests.
