Classika Theatre has kindly offered a discount on its holiday performances to members of the North Rosslyn Civic Association. I attach its invitation letter below, not as an endorsement, but as a means of conveying a benefit to association members offered by this theatre group.

Dear Mr. Marcus: Classika Theatre would like to offer 10% off to members of the North Rosslyn Citizen Association to its holiday performances. I attach description of productions below for your consideration. Please forward this message to the members and ask them to mention this email when ordering tickets. Focus-Mocus, a town's jester, and Bambino, his trained monkey, meet a brave new friend, Funtic, on their way to a New Year's Eve carnival. Funtic has just escaped from the very powerful and evil woman Belladonna who abused his talents for her personal gains. Without any hesitation, the two friends decide to help Funtic, but Belladonna is not giving up without a fight. When she sends two detectives, Dauber and Pincher, to find Funtic and bring him back, the real adventure begins. The Nutcracker November 29, 2003 - January 25, 2004 Saturdays & Sundays 12 PM Tickets: $10 in Advance; $12 at the Door (ages 4+) Kids ages 4 and up only please. Kindly leave your infants at home, and please, please be on time. Late arrivals disrupt the performance for all, so latecomers will be asked to come back on a different day. Thank you.

This Classika holiday tradition is an original adaptation of E.T.A. Hoffman's story, virtually unknown to the American audience; it unveils the magical mystery of why the prince was turned into the Nutcracker. The breathtaking music of Peter Tchaikovsky combined with the magic of Classika's amazing puppets and live actors creates a holiday splendor that your entire family will enjoy together.
