From: Kathryn O'Brien <kobrien@arlingtonva.us> Date: March 22, 2018 at 11:33:30 AM EDT To: Undisclosed recipients: ; Subject: E-CARE is Saturday, March 31- Please share with your neighbors Dear Civic Association Presidents, Arlington’s E-CARE Recycling Event will be held on Saturday, March 31 (rain or shine). Residents can come to Yorktown High School (5200 Yorktown Blvd), between 8:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to safely dispose of hazardous household materials (HHM), and recycle items including bikes, small metal items, shoes, select baby and medical supplies and much more. HHM are products found in the home that are flammable, corrosive, poisonous or potentially hazardous. They include items such as automotive fluid, car-care products, fluorescent light bulbs, corrosives, household cleaners and propane gas cylinders. If you bring an old CFL lightbulb, the Arlington Initiative to Rethink Energy (AIRE) team will swap it with a brand new LED bulb (one per household, while supplies last). Save a trip to the collection site by combining items with your neighbors. Place all materials in the original container or label materials clearly, and please over-pack any leaking containers. For a full list of acceptable items, visit our website. Be sure to bring your ID to verify that you are an Arlington resident. Thank you, Katie O’Brien Katie O’Brien Communications Specialist Arlington County Department of Environmental Services kobrien@arlingtonva.us Office: 703-228-4952 | ||
