We in North Rosslyn frequently find ourselves working on common issues with the next door Radnor/Ft.Myer Civic Association (RAFOM). North Rosslyn residents are invited to this Wednesday's (9/19) RAFOM meeting which will focus on a topic of great interest to us: Parks, Open Space and Development. Mark Antell Here's the announcement: RAFOM's first meeting of the fall will be held on Wednesday, September, 19, at 7 PM, in the Prospect House Meeting Room, entrance at 1200 N. Oak Street. The subject of this meeting is one of substantial interest to many of our residents: Parks, Open Space and Development in Our Area. Our speakers are David Murphy, National Park Service; and Toby Smith, Chairman, Arlington County Park and Recreation Commission. Both these men will not only provide important information on the subject from their respective vantage points but will also be taking your questions. We hope you will be able to join us next Wednesday evening. The County Board's Walking Town Meeting of the RAFOM area last evening went exceedingly well, involving more than 100 people and highlighting our concerns on various community issues to all five Board members and County staff. We will make a brief report on that important event at the September 19th meeting. Stan Karson | |||
