Annual Membership meeting and election of board members
As a resident of the North Rosslyn community, please consider renewing or joining NRCA as a member. Dues are $10 a year for either an individual membership or a household membership. You may pay online using PayPal by clicking here or you can bring a check or cash (exact amount appreciated) to the January 16 Thursday night meeting.

We have about 3,500 residents in our neighborhood. NRCA has 205 email addresses we use to reach around 300 of our residents. We would like to be able to reach everyone in the neighborhood with information important to our community and we are working to add email addresses. NRCA had 50 paid memberships during 2013, mostly household memberships. Our expenses to keep the web site going and participate in the Arlington Civic Federation was $424.85 during 2013. Our income from membership fees and a few donations was $655. We keep our expenditures less than our income, but we have limited funds to do outreach to locate and sign up other residents. We hope to grow our paid memberships this year so that we can have funds to reach out through direct mail or cost effective advertising to reach those residents in North Rosslyn that still don't know they have a civic association.

The North Rosslyn Civic Association will meet Thursday, January 16, 2014, from 7:30-9:00 pm at The Atrium community room, 1530 N Key Blvd. As a 501(c)4 non-profit the North Rosslyn Civic Association is required hold an annual meeting each year to elect directors which we will do at this meeting to fill three of the seven board seats. Any member may self-nominate as a candidate for these board seats. The term of office is 3 years and the meeting commitment is 5 member meetings and 4 board meetings each year. Meetings are held Thursday evenings. Most board members serve in one or more officer positions during their 3 year term. At the first board meeting following the annual meeting, the board of directors select officers for that year. If you have the time, interest and commitment to the community to serve on the board and wish to fill one of the officer positions, we hope you seriously consider running for one of the board seats. It is a great way to help make Rosslyn a great place to live and you will meet and work with some wonderful neighbors.

Best wishes and hope to see you Thursday night!
