Hi Everyone: Please come to the next meeting of the civic association, which will be held Thursday May 15 at 7:30 PM in the community room at The Atrium, 1530 Key Boulevard in Rosslyn. It is possible that the newest member of the county board, John Vihstadt, will be in attendance -- his office requested to attend our next meeting yesterday, but I have yet to receive confirmation. Whether with him or without him, we will be discussing the most recent developments in the Wilson School/West Rosslyn Area Planning Study, including possible implications to the community of Arlington Public Schools' decision to retain the Wilson site. We will also be discussing the status of AHC's campaign to redevelop Key Boulevard Apartments, which apparently continues -- with inexplicable vigor -- despite the violent opposition of this community and a discouraging showing at the first meeting of the Site Plan Review Committee. All this and more at the meeting. We look forward to seeing you there, Jennifer

The upcoming Democratic Party primary for School Board will be held in two locations on different dates. The Arlington County Democratic Committee website says this: "Three candidates — Greg Greeley, Barbara Kanninen, and Nancy Van Doren — are seeking the Arlington County Democratic Committee (ACDC) endorsement for School Board. ACDC will hold an unassembled caucus on Thursday, May 15, 2014, (7 p.m. to 9 p.m.) at Drew Model School and Saturday, May 17, 2014 (11 a.m. to 7 p.m.) at Washington-Lee High School."
