The BID has placed several items along Wilson Blvd.between Ode street and the Safeway. These include two types of benches, planters, a bike rack, way-finding sign and a historical marker. Several members did a walk and discussion of these items and there were many ideas and comments from the group. The BID would like members of the community to give them feedback on these items at rosslynva.org/streetscape.

I will post my feedback here as well: I think making the streetscape more welcoming is a great idea. I disagree with the suggested style. I think this contemporary look 1) is not really even in-style right now 2) will not stand the test of time and will be regretted further down the line much like 80s architecture. Would prefer a more traditional route of wood/cast iron/steel. Adding green space would also be beneficial so we do not have such a concrete/metal facade.
