Guest Speaker: Larry Finch, Chair, Friends of Arlington Parks, will discuss Preservation of Green Space in Arlington.* We'll meet at the Wilson School Multipurpose Room at 7-9 PM. In addition to Mr. Finch's presentation, our agenda includes: 1. Prioritizing Green Space as a Community Benefit to offset developments in Rosslyn (expect info shortly). 2. Wilson School - status report. 3. Membership initiatives. 4. Blue Bus status. 5. Community picnic on 9/13. *Mr Finch is a recipient of the Bill Thomas Park Service Award. He earned the award through, "A lifetime of service in helping to develop Arlington parks and other natural areas, serving on many boards and commissions in the process. Even when not serving in an official capacity, he has been an advocate on the sidelines -- working at events, sharing information and monitoring progress on local projects. He walks the walk and talks the talk whether it's raising money, planting a tree, or lobbying a politician." | |||
