Metro Inspection Report of Aug 30, 2012

Both stations were inspected on August 30, 2012. All maintenance departments have been made aware of the inspection findings. The consistent escalator problems and the lower level lighting concerns have been escalated to the department managers directly. NRCA has been actively reporting out of service problems with escalators 5 and 6. If you arrive at the metro station and the escalator from the lower to the upper platform is not working, please report the problem to the satation manager.

Upper Level Platform:
ADA gate out of service – COMPLETED
1 – Track bed light out – Unresolved (Currently six lights are out)
Escalator #7 restorative work being performed
Escalator #8 being used as walker
New Issues:
None

Open Issues: Arlington Cemetery:
Faregate #18 no SmarTrip - COMPLETED
Escalators 6 &7 being used as walkers due to handrail – COMPLETED
ADA gate out of service
New Issues:
None
