The following is a list of criminal activity occurring in 2D North for October, 2009. We had 3 bank robberies (2 North, 1 South) believed to have been committed by the same suspect. Listed below are some of the community issues that the 2nd District Policing Team worked on this month: - Extra checks at 1020 & 1050 N. Highland St. (homeless subjects). - Extra patrols of all parks. Please do not leave valuables in your vehicles. Call in suspicious persons / activity to the police. ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 2100 block of N. Lynn Street, On October 13 at 5 pm two bicyclists collided in the street. One man assaulted the other and damaged the victim’s bicycle before leaving the area. The suspect was a white male in his late 30’s, 6’2”, 215 lbs with short spiky light blond hair. He was wearing a black cut off shirt, black bike shorts and a silver helmet. BANK ROBBERY, 3100 block of Clarendon Boulevard, On October 17 at 10 am an unknown man entered a bank and displayed a note demanding money. He fled with cash. The suspect was an African American male with a thin mustache, 35 to 40 years old, 6’4” and 230 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black skull cap, a black wool coat and jeans. BANK ROBBERY, 2900 block of Wilson Boulevard, On October 20 at 11:30 am an unknown man entered a bank and displayed a note demanding money. He fled with cash. The suspect was an African American male, 35 to 40 years old, 6’4” and 230 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black skull cap, a black wool coat and jeans. BURGLARY, 3000 block of Clarendon Boulevard, Between 3:30 pm on October 23, and 7 am on October 26, an unknown subject entered a construction site and stole various items. There is no suspect description. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY (SERIES), 2700 block of Washington Boulevard, Between 9 pm on October 22, and 5 am on October 23, an unknown subject broke into two businesses by smashing the glass door on each. Various items were stolen. There are no known suspects. ASSAULT ON POLICE-ARREST, 1200 block of N. Rolfe Street, On October 29 at 11 pm police responded for a disorderly subject. The suspect then assaulted an officer. Abraham Hernandez, 22, of Arlington, was charged with Assault and Battery on Law Enforcement and Drunk in Public. He was held on a $5,000 bond. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 1900 block of N. Ft. Myer Drive, Between 9 pm on October 5, and 7:30 am on October 6, an unknown suspect broke into at least four vehicles in a parking garage. GPS units were stolen. There is no suspect description. STOLEN VEHICLES, There were no vehicles reported stolen this month. Brian Captain Brian M.
