The following is a list of criminal activity occurring in 2D North for April, 2009. There was a break in larcenies from vehicles this month. Burglaries were our main crime issue. Please do not leave valuables in your vehicles. Call in suspicious persons / activity to the police. ASSAULT ON POLICE-ARREST, 04/01/09, 2000 block of Wilson Boulevard. On April 1 at 2 am, while investigating a building alarm, an officer was assaulted by an intoxicated subject. Daniel Wadeson, 33, of Alexandria, was charged with Assault on Law Enforcement. He was held on a $3,500 bond. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 04/10/09, 2200 block of Wilson Boulevard. Between 7:30 pm on April 9, and 8 am on April 10, an unknown subject entered a business and stole two laptop computers. There are no known suspects. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 04/10/09, 2800 block of Wilson Boulevard. On April 11 between 2:30 am and 8 am, an unknown subject stole cash from a business. There is no suspect description COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 04/13/09, 1300 block of N. 17th Street. Between 4 pm on April 10, and 5 am on April 13, an unknown subject broke into a restaurant and attempted to open an ATM. The suspect is an African American male in his 50’s wearing a light colored suit and driver’s hat. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 04/23/09, 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard. Between 7 pm on April 22, and 6:50 am on April 23, an unknown subject broke into a business by smashing a glass door. There are no known suspects. LATE BURGLARY, 04/27/09, 1600 block of N. Queen Street. On April 16 at 2:30 am, a subject entered an apartment and removed electronic items. The suspect is known to the victim. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 04/28/09, 2100 block of Wilson Boulevard. Between 6:30 pm on April 27, and 7:30 am on April 28, an unknown subject stole two laptop computers from an office suite. There are no known suspects. DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES), 04/15/09, Lee Highway and N. Calvert Street. Between 6 pm on April 14, and 5:30 am on April 15, and unknown subject damaged three vehicles by breaking a side view mirror from each. One vehicle was a police cruiser. There are no known suspects. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 04/23/09, 1500 block of Arlington Boulevard. Between 9 pm on April 22, and 7 am on April 123, an unknown subject broke into at least three vehicles and stole various items. There is no suspect description.
