The following is a list of criminal activity occurring in 2D North for April, 2010. We experienced a noticeable increase in burglaries and larcenies from vehicles this month. Listed below are some of the community issues that the 2nd District Policing Team worked on during March: - Extra patrols in Lyon Village and Clarendon. - Extra patrols in Rosslyn and around Metro stations. Please do not leave valuables in your vehicles. Call in suspicious persons / activity to the police. ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 3100 block of Wilson Boulevard, On April 3 at 1:30 am, a man assaulted security at a bar. Luis Kenny, 24, of Bethesda, MD, was charged with Assault and battery and Drunk in Public. He was held on a $2,000 bond. BURGLARY/ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 1500 block of N. Quinn Street, On April 5 at 11:45 am, two known suspects entered an apartment and assaulted a male victim. ATTEMPTED COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3400 block of Lee Highway, Between 7 pm on April 6, and 7:30 am on April 7, an unknown subject attempted to enter a business. A vehicle associated with the business was also entered. No items were stolen and there are no known suspects. BURGLARY, 3300 block of Washington Boulevard, Between noon on April 10, and 6:45 pm on April 11, an unknown subject broke into an apartment and stole various items. There is no suspect description. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 1700 block of Wilson Boulevard, Between on April 13 and on April 14, an unknown subject broke into a business and stole a cash drawer. There is no suspect description. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 1700 block of N. Moore Street, Between 6:30 pm on April 13 and 8:30 am on April 14, an unknown subject broke into a business suite and stole several laptop computers. There is no suspect description. ASSAULT ON POLICE-ARREST, 2000 block of N. 15th Street, On April 18 at 4:30 am, an officer was assaulted by an intoxicated female. Ellen O’Beirne, 26, of Silver Spring, MD, was charged with Assault on Law Enforcement and Drunk in Public. She was held on a $5,000 bond. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 3300 block of Lee Highway, Between 10:45 pm on April 19, and 6:30 am on April 20, an unknown subject broke into a business and stole the cash drawer. There is no suspect description. ATTEMPTED COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 2900 block of Wilson Boulevard, On April 19 at 11:30 pm, police responded to an alarm at a business and found the door unlocked. There is no suspect description. ROBBERY, 1300 block of N. Pierce Street, On April 19 at 4:30 pm, two subjects forced entry into an apartment. The suspects displayed a handgun and stole money. The victim was not injured. Both suspects were tall African American men wearing all black clothing and black ski masks. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 1000 block of N. Garfield Street, Between 3 pm on April 24, and 8 am on April 25, an unknown person entered a business and stole various tools. There are no known suspects. EXPOSURE, 900 block of N. Barton Street, On April 29 at 9 pm, an unknown male exposed himself to a woman through an apartment window. The suspect was wearing blue jeans. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 1300 block of N. Irving Street, On April 9 between 9 pm and 11 pm, an unknown subject broke into at least two vehicles in the same block. Various items were stolen. There are no known suspects. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3200 block of Wilson Boulevard, On April 12 between 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm, an unknown subject broke into at least two cars in a parking lot. The suspect stole all visible valuables. There is no suspect description. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 1900 block of Fort Myer Drive, Between 8:30 pm on April 17, and 8:45 am on April 19, an unknown subject broke into at least two vehicles in a parking garage. There is no suspect description. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3200 block of Wilson Boulevard, On April 21 between 10:30 pm and 11:30 pm, an unknown subject broke into at least two vehicles in the same block. Items were stolen from both cars. There are no known suspects. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3100 block of N. 10th Street, On April 21 between 10:30 pm and 11:30 pm, an unknown subject broke into at least two vehicles in the same block.
