The following is a list of criminal activity occurring in 2D North for August, 2009. Larceny from auto cases were down significantly in the North side of the District this month. Listed below are some of the community issues that the 2nd District Policing Team worked on this month: - Traffic issues along Key Blvd. - Extra patrols of park areas in Rosslyn. - Parking issues in the area of N. Highland St. / Wilson Blvd. Please do not leave valuables in your vehicles. Call in suspicious persons / activity to the police. PEEPING TOM, 1200 block of N. Rolfe Street, On August 2 at 8 pm, a woman saw a man looking in her bedroom window. She saw him looking through her bathroom window again later that evening. The suspect is described as an Indian male, 23 years old, 5’9” and 155 lbs. He was wearing a white button down shirt tucked into pants. ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 3100 block of Clarendon Boulevard, On August 8 at 1:30 am, a man argued with another man in a bar. The suspect punched the victim in the face. The suspect is described as a 25 year old white male. ASSAULT ON POLICE-ARREST, 1800 block of N. Moore Street, On August 10 at 8 pm, a police officer approached a wanted subject and the woman assaulted the officer. Lorraine Wright, 57, of no fixed address, was charged with Assault and Battery on Law Enforcement, and arrested for two pending Failure to Appear in Court charges. She was held without bond. ASSAULT AND BATTERY/GRAND LARCENY-ARREST, 2800 block of Wilson Boulevard, On August 13 at 9 pm, a woman stole a purse hanging from the back a chair at a bar. The suspect then assaulted a witness when confronted. Police located apprehended the suspect. Brooke Fillippo, 28, of Park Ridge, IL, was charged with Assault and Battery and Grand Larceny. She was held without bond. ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 1800 block of Ft. Myer Drive, On August 15 at midnight, a cab driver and passenger got into a fight over the fare, and the passenger states the driver assaulted and spit on him. The suspect is a Yellow Taxi driver from Washington D.C. ABDUCTION, 1100 block of N. Danville Street, On August 26 at 8 pm, a woman was walking when an unknown man grabbed her around the neck and pushed her to the ground while covering her mouth with his hand. He held her there for a few seconds before fleeing the area. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male, 5’8” with a stocky build. He was wearing a white t-shirt. BURGLARY, 1800 block of N. Scott Street, On August 29 at 6:30 am, an unknown male forced entry into an apartment, but fled when confronted by a resident. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male in his 20’s wearing a white button down shirt. ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 3100 block of Key Boulevard, On August 31 at 10 pm a man was walking his dog when two teenagers rode past him on bicycles. One of the teenagers shot the victim with an "airsoft" gun as he passed by. The man was unharmed, and the suspects also yelled profanity at him. Both suspects were white Hispanic males in their teens. One was wearing a blue shirt and shorts, while the other was wearing a white t-shirt and carried a black backpack. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 1800 block of Key Boulevard and 1700 block of N. Troy Street, Between 11 pm on July 23, and 4 pm on July 24, an unknown subject removed the catalytic convertors from two vehicles in the same neighborhood. There is no suspect description.
