The Sun-Gazette's police report has recently reported several disturbing crimes on Colonial Terrace. We all need to be on alert and to consider ways of combating this recent outbreak.

** On Jan. 20 at 7:57 p.m., a 25-year-old woman was walking home in the 1500 block of North Colonial Terrace when she was approached by a male suspect who walked by her and grabbed her purse, causing the victim to be knocked to the ground.

* On Jan. 15 at about 10:08 p.m., a home in the 1600 block of North Colonial Terrace was burglarized. A laptop computer was taken.

** On Jan. 23 between 8:30 a.m. and 7 p.m., a home in the 1600 block of North Colonial Terrace was burglarized. Cameras, camera equipment and CDs were taken.

** Sometime between Jan. 25 at 5:30 p.m. and Jan. 26 at 11:08 a.m., a home in the 1500 block of North Colonial Court was burglarized. A vehicle and a laptop computer were taken.
