The following is a list of criminal activity occurring in 2D North for March, 2010. We experienced a noticeable increase in burglaries and larcenies from vehicles this month. Listed below are some of the community issues that the 2nd District Policing Team worked on during March: - Extra patrols in Lyon Village and Clarendon. - Extra patrols in Rosslyn and around Metro stations. Please do not leave valuables in your vehicles. Call in suspicious persons / activity to the police. BURGLARY, 1200 block of N. Wayne Street, On March 1 between 6:45 am and 7 pm, an unknown subject entered a residence through a patio door and stole laptop computers. There is no suspect description. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard, Between 5 pm on February 26, and 7 am on March 1, an unknown subject entered a business suite and stole laptop computers. There is no suspect description. BURGLARY, 1200 block of N. Wayne Street, On March 10 between 8 am and 7 pm, an unknown person entered an apartment and stole various items. There are no known suspects. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 3000 block of Washington Boulevard, On March 14 at 3 am, a man was with a group of people he knew when one subject hit him on the head with a glass bottle. The suspect is known. BURGLARY, 1600 block of N. Queen Street, On March 25 at 2 am, a man awoke when someone walked in his front door. The victim yelled and the suspect ran out the front door. The only suspect description is that the man was 5’7” to 5’8”. GRAND LARCENY-ARREST, 2800 block of Clarendon Boulevard, On March 26 at 1 pm, two male teenagers entered a cell phone store and stole several items. Police apprehended the suspects. Lamar Gaskins, 19, of Washington D.C., was charged with Grand Larceny. He was held on $2,500 bond. The second suspect was a juvenile, and he was transported to detention. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 2400 block of Wilson Boulevard, Between 11 pm on March 25, and 7 am on March 26, an unknown subject broke into a business through the front glass window. The suspect stole currency. There are no known suspects. BURGLARY, 2200 block of Clarendon Boulevard, On March 27 between 10:30 am and 4 pm, an unknown subject entered an apartment and stole various items. There is no suspect description. MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 1600 block of N. 18th Street, On March 31 at 10:30 pm, a man was walking when an unknown subject approached him asking for a cigarette. The suspect then assaulted the victim. The suspect is described as an African American teenager with dreadlocks, 6’ to 6’2”, 160 lbs. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3100 block of N. 13th Street and 3000 block of Wilson Blvd., On March 2 between 8 pm and 9 pm, an unknown subject broke a window out of three vehicles to steal items from within. There is no suspect description. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 1600 block of N. Colonial Terrace, Between 5 pm on March 10, and 7:30 am on March 11, an unknown subject stole the wheels and tires from two vehicles on the same street. There is no suspect description. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3200 block of Wilson Boulevard, On March 15, between 9 pm and 10 pm, an unknown subject broke into at least two vehicles in a restaurant parking lot. The suspect stole various valuables. There is no suspect description. LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 3100 block of N. 10th Street, On March 24 between 9 pm and 10 pm, an unknown subject broke into at least three vehicles in the same parking lot. Various items were stolen from one vehicle. There is no suspect description. STOLEN VEHICLES, There were 3 vehicles reported stolen this month. Brian Captain Brian M.
