NORTH ROSSLYN CIVIC ASSOCIATION
GENERAL MEETING
WITH THE
RADNOR/FT. MYER HEIGHTS CIVIC ASSOCIATION
February 27, 2003

At 7:00 pm, the meeting was called to order by the Radnor/Ft. Myer Heights Civic Association (RAFOM) President, Stan Karson. He thanked the Belvedere for hosting the meeting and briefly described the history of RAFOM, the boundaries of the civic association, and the occasion of the fourth candidate debate hosted by the organization. The format for the meeting and the debate was explained.

John Wertz moved and Larry Reed seconded a motion approving the RAFOM minutes from the 22 January 2003 meeting.

The President of the North Rosslyn Civic Association (NRCA), Ken Marcus, was introduced by Stan Karson, saying that he looked forward to working closely with the NRCA on matters of common interest. After introducing the officers of the NRCA, Ken Marcus introduced the candidates for the 11 March Arlington County Board Special Election, Mike Clancey and Walter Tejada.

Each candidate presented an opening statement followed by a lively question and answer period. The candidates addressed several issues of interest to the audience, such as affordable housing "at what cost", the proposed stadium and conference center, code enforcement, their visions for neighborhoods and green space, and tax rates and re-valuation. Each candidate concluded with a closing statement.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 pm.
