A critical review of the Public Land for Public Good (PL4PG) Initiative

The PL4PG initiative has been cited in justification for a current, unprecedented, Arlington government plan to "develop" a number of publicly owned green spaces. To my thinking, this is a misguided initiative; whatever the problems in Arlington may be (eg. affordable housing, a shortage of school seats etc.), "development" of parks and park-like land is not the solution.

Suzanne Sundburg, for the Revenues and Expenditures Committee of the Arlington County Civic Federation (CivFed), has prepared an informed, critical analysis of the PL4PG initiative. It's a good read. I link to a posting of her analysis:
