Volunteers for clearing school bus stop crosswalk
Hello North Rosslyn residents,

Hope your are recovering from the blizzard and not facing critical problems at this time.

The schools will be reopening possibly as soon as Thursday. The main crosswalk from the Colonial Terrace/Ode street area at Key Blvd is jammed up with a berm from the snow plows. I'm planning to head over to that area and try to clear a path so this crosswalk is functional. This is a main feed for much of our residential area to Safeway, CVS, Target and the restaurants.

If you have a snow shovel and a little time, consider helping to clear this path. When the school buses return we will have quite a number of little people in the area that will also benefit if the area is cleared when the schools reopen.

When this crosswalk clears, the other crosswalk across Key Blvd between the community gardens and the Atrium walkway could use some attention. The Atrium has done a great job of clearing the walkway over to Rosslyn Highlands Park. We are asking Arlington County and Arlington Public schools to clear the sidewalks on to Wilson Blvd.
