A week ago, at the Columbia Pike Blues Festival, I bet Abby Raphael (Chair of the Arlington Public Schools Board) that the trailers on Wilson playing field would not be removed ‘any time soon.’

That’s one bet I’m pleased to have lost.

By the end of last week all the trailers were removed. Also, as of early today, much of the trailer debris had been removed and workers were beginning to remediate the field.

There’s still much to be done before the playfield can be used by our kids and families, but we are now seeing some progress.
