Exxon Gas Station
Arlington County Planner Rebecca Torma recently informed me that the Exxon gas station at 1824 Wilson Blvd is now being reviewed for the April 26, 2003 County Board hearing. She has gone out to site and found the following issues:
The lights on the canopy have not been installed properly.
The pavement, especially in front of the car wash is broken up and needs to be repaved.
The landscaping was not maintained.
There was trash and debris on the site.

Although the county has been working with Exxon's attorney to correct the issues, Ms. Torma is interested in hearing our thoughts -- and now is the time, if we have any problems with the station, to make sure that they are fixed. Thre has already been some progress recently. Ms. Torma reports that the landscaping has been fixed and the trash and debris will be removed soon; let me know if you think otherwise. However, the county believes that the other issues might take longer to fix. Exxon's attorney is supposed to tell the county within the next two weeks when the other issues will be resolved.

Again, if you have any problems with the Exxon station, now is the time for us to make them known and see to it that they are fixed.
