Ruby Tuesday is interested in enclosing the outdoor patio area to its Wilson Avenue restaurant. I personally think that outdoor dining enlivens the Wilson Boulevard area, and that enclosure would be something of a loss to the area. On the other hand, the Ruby Tuesday outdoor seating is not directly on the Boulevard, so its contribution to the streetscape is relatively minimal. At any rate, I would be reluctant to create obstacles for the few restaurants we have in that area. Anyone else's thoughts would be welcome. Ruby Tuesday is not actually within our civic association. However, since it is directly across Wilson from us, we have been asked for our comments. Please feel free to share your thoughts here, or to contact the County Planning office directly.

I personally like outdoor dining. I'd prefer that Ruby Tuesday retained their outdoor patio but it's pretty much their call.
