Saddened by development plans
I am saddened by the ruins of Wilson School, and I am saddened by overall plans for the Wilson School / Rosslyn-Heights Park area. Those plans will greatly reduce our neighborhood’s green space.

There is not the slightest bit of sense in the development plan. It is an assault on our neighborhood’s history and livability. A neighborhood without adequate green space is family-hostile.

Going forward I think our North Rosslyn Civic Association should set some firm goals on what we expect in the ‘community benefits’ that developers must provide when they add density to our neighborhood. Routinely those benefits have proven to be worthless tinsel. We, NRCA, should decide what it is that is critically needed in our neighborhood; and we should notify our elected representatives that we expect that ‘community benefits’ should henceforth respond to our community-determined needs.
