Good afternoon Arlington County Civic Association Leaders,

I just wanted to reach out to you as the coordinator of the Court appointed Guardianship and Conservatorship program of Arlington County. We need your help. The Department of Human Services is looking for willing and qualified volunteers to serve as court appointed guardians for incapacitated adults. Our program has been around for over 30 years and has made a big impact on the lives of countless individuals who call Arlington County home!

Types of assistance Volunteer Guardians provide:
· Arranging long term care services for clients (Nursing homes and Assisted Living residences)
· Participating in care coordination for clients
· Managing money and paying bills
· Making end of life plans for their clients
· Authorizing medical treatments

We cannot continue to meet the needs of our most frail without support from our community. Thank you for your time and attention to this very critical cause!
