On Thursday March 1st we will have our first North Rosslyn Civic Association Meeting at the Holiday Inn Rosslyn. At 6:30 we will meet for happy hour on the top floor Vantage Point bar. At 7 we will move down to the Dogwood Room on the 2nd floor for regular business.

We expect to hear from developer Penzance Properties about the building that will be torn that currently houses CVS/Dominos up the hill on Wilson Blvd. Their plan is to put in a new public park, a new fire station, codo/apartments, and ground floor stores.

Although much has already been decided, the Board must still consider the following:
-Use Permit for Rosslyn Highlands Park
-Reciprocal Easements Agreement (REA) [used when a property is owned by more than one person or entity, and the persons or entities wish to develop the property as an integrated shopping center]
-Use Permit for Fire Station 10
-Firehouse Lease Agreement

They plan to discuss the project's progress to date and specifically to discuss construction related issues (hauling route, worker parking, pedestrian and vehicle circulation, lighting, schedule of construction, etc.)

Thanks for the message. Unfortunately I won't be able to attend the meeting since I'll be out of the country. I look forward to catching up next time. FYI, the mission/objective/process of the Rosslyn BID Urban Design Committee is in the process of being reevaluated. I'm on the task force to consider options. Will update you at the next meeting. Regards to all.
