-Use a U-Lock to secure your bike (not a chain lock)

-Secure your bike to a bike rack or immovable object

-Store your bike in your residence when possible

-If you store your bike in a bike storage room, ensure it is secured to an immovable object and check on it regularly

-Keep record of your bike serial number and take photos of your bike

-If your bike does not have a serial number, mark your bike with identifiable letters/numbers

-Register your bike for free with ACPD

If you are the victim of a bike larceny:

-Report your stolen bicycle to ACPD via the Online Reporting System

-Assist police by compiling a list of serial numbers and/or exact descriptions of stolen property to increase the chance of property recovery.
