Second District (Rosslyn area) Crime and Activity Bulletin - November 2009

The following is a list of criminal activity occurring in 2D North for November, 2009.

We had several alcohol related assaults and a Carjacking reported this month.

Listed below are some of the community issues that the 2nd District Policing Team worked on this month:

- Extra checks in the Clarendon area.
- Extra patrols in Woodbury Park Apts.
- Extra patrols of all parks.


Please do not leave valuables in your vehicles. Call in suspicious persons / activity to the police.

ASSAULT ON POLICE-ARREST, 1400 block of Lee Highway, On November 11 at 4:30 am a police officer was assaulted while responding to a hotel for a trespasser. Alejandro Geigel-Lameiro, 21, of Puerto Rico, was charged with Assault on Law Enforcement and Drunk in Public. He was held on a $3,000 bond.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 1400 block of N. Rolfe Street, On October 31 at 10:45 pm a man was assaulted when he exited his vehicle by two men who had heckled him while he was parking. The suspects were both white men in Halloween costumes. One was in a black and white chicken costume, and the other was wearing a blond wig and a white dress.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 3300 block of Wilson Boulevard, On November 7 at 3:45 am, a man assaulted a woman he was with inside a car. There were several witnesses to the assault. Christopher Scott Patton, 26, of Springfield, was charged with Assault and Battery. He was held on a $5,000 bond.

SEXUAL ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 2300 block of N. 11th Street, On November 4 at 1 pm, a man assaulted a woman in his apartment. William Lopez, 39, of Arlington, was charged with Sexual Assault and Battery. He was held on a $3,000 bond.

PEEPING TOM, 1800 block of N. Quinn Street, On November 13 at midnight, a witness saw a man looking into an apartment window. The suspect was a white Hispanic male in his late 20’s, 5’6”. He was wearing a grey sweater and black pants.

BURGLARY, 1400 block of Key Boulevard, On November 19 between 8:30 am and 6 pm, an unknown subject broke into an apartment and stole various items. There are no known suspects.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 2500 block of Clarendon Boulevard, On November 20 at 2 am, a man assaulted a cab driver. Naheed Mohamed Jivani, 34, of Arlington, was charged with Assault and Battery. He was held on a $1000 bond.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY-ARREST, 3100 block of Wilson Boulevard, On November 22 at 1:45 am, a group of men had a disagreement that broke into a physical fight. Bobby Wayne Ford, 30, of Virginia Beach, was charged with Assault and Battery. He was held on a $1,000 bond.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY, 1800 block of Clarendon Boulevard, On November 22 at 3:30 am, a passenger assaulted a cab driver after a dispute. The suspect was a white male in his 20’s.

CARJACKING, 1200 block of N. Highland Street, On November 26 at 11:45 pm, a woman was exiting her car when an unknown man threatened her with a handgun. He demanded her purse, then commanded her to put the vehicle key into the ignition. The suspect then drove off in the stolen vehicle. The suspect was an African American male in his 40’s, 5’10” with an average build. He was wearing dark clothing and a dark knit cap.

ASSAULT ON POLICE-ARREST, 1200 block of N. Hudson Street, On November 29 at 1:45 am, police approached a man for urinating in public. He became combative and additional people with the suspect then confronted police. Dias Belguinha, 28, of Herndon, was charged with Resisting Arrest, Drunk in Public, and Urinating in Public. He was held on a $2,000 bond. Michael Belguinha, 19, of Herndon, was charged with Assault on Law Enforcement, Resisting Arrest, Drunk in Public, and Destruction of Property. He was held on a $5,000 bond. Sonia Costa, 29, Oak Hill, of was charged with Drunk in Public. She was held until sober.

GRAND LARCENY-ARREST, 2700 block of Clarendon Boulevard, On November 30 at three juveniles stole laptops and phones from a business. Two of the suspects were later apprehended at different locations and were detained. Charges are pending.



LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 1200 block of N. Ft. Myer Drive, Between 5:30 pm on November 24, and 7:45 am on November 25, an unknown subject broke into at least two vehicles. There is no suspect description.



STOLEN VEHICLES, There were 3 vehicles reported stolen this month.
