Subject: Sale of Gallery at Rosslyn to George Washington University
Dear RR Board:
Before you read it in tomorrow morning's Washington Post, this is to let you know that the Gallery at Rosslyn is being sold to George Washington University for use as an alternate dormitory for upperclassmen. The 38 affordable units will remain, as per the site plan agreement.
I had heard this rumor only this week, and was called by a Post reporter late today. My comment to her was that we had not been aware of the sale. At 5:30 pm I put in a call to Marco Greenberg and Bob Donohoe at The Donohoe Company, but they had both left for the day.
Well, Happy Easter and Passover everybody. See you next Wednesday.
Cecilia

Paul DerbyHere are some current (May 19, 2003) details regarding The Gallery at Rosslyn provided by Michelle Priesner, a member of the Buzzoto property management team. Ms. Priesner lives at The Gallery.
71 units are currently rented. 200 are available for rent. The remaining 43 units will be completed by mid-July for a total of 314 units.
The affordable housing units are spread throughout the building and are not clumped together.
Tenants renting units must be able to demonstrate the ability to pay for the units themselves. So tenants must have sufficient direct income from employment, investments or trust fund income. Cosigned leases are not accepted.
As of May 19 the rental rates range from $1,380 for a studio apartment (479-625 sq ft) to $3,135 for a two bedroom with den (1.163 sq ft.) Eight different floor plans are available. At this time tenants moving in by June 30th are offered 2 months free rent and high speed internet service for the remainder of 2003 on selected floors.
Ms. Priesner has agreed to include a membership application for the North Rosslyn Civic Association in the welcoming packets for each resident of The Gallery.
